Genoa is a city surrounded by the charm of history, art and architecture, a destination full of tourist attractions to visit: monuments, museums, churches and historic places.

In the heart of the city is the sixteenth-century Porto Antico, the largest square on the Mediterranean, redesigned by the famous architect Renzo Piano in 1992 and one of the city's main attractions. Other unmissable jewels during your trip to discover Liguria are the churches and monuments of Genoa such as: the Cathedral of San Lorenzo, an example of Gothic architecture; the church of Santa Maria di Castello, an example of Romanesque art, or Piazza De Ferrari, a square surrounded by large buildings and monuments: the monument dedicated to Garibaldi, the Palazzo della Borsa and the enchanting fountain symbol of the city which is located right at the centre of the square.
